Women's Rights 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

I got this from a forwarded email and not sure which country this applies to. But it is good for knowledge.

___________________________________________________________________

I was talking with a lawyer friend of mine.
We were discussing the law and women's rights.

She told me about this incident
 - a young girl was raped by a man posing as a plain clothes officer; he asked her to come to the police station when she and her male friend didn't have a driver's license to show. He sent the boy off to get his license and asked the girl to accompany him to the police station.

Took her instead to an isolated area where the horrendous crime was committed.

In fact, the law clearly states that between 6 pm and 6 am, a woman has the right to REFUSE to go to the Police Station, even if an arrest warrant has been issued against her...

It is a procedural issue that a woman can be arrested between 6 pm and 6 am, ONLY if she is arrested by a woman officer and taken to an ALL WOMEN police station.
And if she is arrested by a male officer, it has to be proven that a woman officer was on duty at the time of arrest.

It is good for us to know our rights. To what extent it comes of use remains to be seen in any situation. But as they say, knowledge is power. Just thought I'd share this with you. I did not know this and am sure lot of us will not know this

HWCMalaysia: Big Passion for Small Cars

I found out about Hot Wheels Cars Malaysia (HWCM) Club from The Star on Friday and was surprised that there is such a club with more than 160 members. When I join today, I guess I am member number 180+.

I always have passions on cars, even before I got my driving license. However, coming from a not so well-off family I can’t afford a real car when I was young. My interest of collecting small cars started when my father bought Shell Helix motor oil which comes with free Maisto die cast car. One of the models that I like most is Dodge Viper RT/10 which I still have it today.

I personally started collecting more small cars when Shell introduced the Ferraris in 2007 which so happen to be models from Hot Wheels. That year I bought more than 2 sets of the Ferraris which I sold off one set a year later when Shell introduced the 2008 collection. I still have 2 sets of the 2008 collection and will try to sell of one set soon. I also have two sets of the James Bond’s car which was introduced during the showing of Quantum of Solace. I could vividly remember that during the 2 years when Shell introduced their collections, I would be very hardworking driving my CLK around just to finish off the petrol so that I could pump in some more in order to buy the cars again. Just a note, my CLK is not from MB ~ Mercedes Benz but from P2 ~ Perodua. So, you know hard I have to work as my CLK (Cute Little Kancil) does not consume so much petrol. And when I buy one, I can feel the sense of satisfaction and achievement when holding them in my hand.

Anyway, I am quite slow in this year’s collection as I am out of job for a couple of months now but I am determined to complete my 2009 collection. I don’t have a lot of collections but from the less than 40 cars I have (not including duplicates), mostly comes from promotions. I feel cars from promotions like from Shell are really limited editions as you cannot just buy them from the store.

To all the enthusiast, I highly recomend them to join a club like HWCMalaysia.

Warning About Bangkok International Airport

This is from a forwarded email. Don't know how true it is but better be careful when receiving free gifts. Double check if it is really a free gift and if in doubt, just decline it.

__________________________________________________________________________

Dear All,

My Dept secretary informed on this. Her cousin was detained in Bangkok for stealing a box of cigarettes in a duty-free shop in Bangkok International Airport .

He had paid for chocolates and a carton of cigarettes. The cashier put a packet of smokes into his bag and he thought it was a free pack. He was arrested for shop-lifting and the Thai Police extortion price was RM30,000 for his release. He spent two nights in jail and paid RM50 for an air-cond cell, 200-300 baht for each visitor, and RM11,000 for his final release. The Police shared the money in front of his eyes.

On top of that, he was charged in court and fined RM2,000 by the magistrate and handcuffed and escorted to his plane. His passport was stamped "Thief". While there, his relatives requested help from the Malaysian Embassy and was told that they are helpless, as M'sians are victimised similarly daily and letters and phone-calls to the Thai Authorities are ignored.

He shared a cell with a Singaporean the 1st night who paid RM60,000 for his release. The  2nd night was an Indian national who paid USD70,000.

Mind you this is not in a shag downtown Bangkok but in a duty free shop in Bangkok 's Int'l Airport .

BE WARNED.

Do you know anything about F.U.C.K.?

In ancient England, people could not have sex without the consent of the King.

When people wanted to have a child, they have to get the permission from the monarchy. When granted, they would be supplied with a plaque to hang on their door when they had sexual relations.

The plaque reads 'Fornication Under Consent of the King' (F.U.C.K.). This is how the word came about.

Interesting Pantun

This pantun was circulated before March 8th, 2008 while some of the character is still "in business"...

Bocor teruk kata Samy
Wiring lama kata Ramli
Bangunan tua kata Nazri
Najib said it's PWD
Semua ada alasan sendiri
But where you all spent the money?
RM90 juta untuk cantikkan lobby
So that it looks luxury
Nice décor and nice settee
But now you kena letak baldi
Bocor teruk when it rains heavily
MP yang busuk pun boleh mandi
The floor is wet and slippery
The luxury lobby now looks untidy
Inilah dia third class mentality
Luar cantik tapi dalam very shoddy
Structure work should get priority
And now whose responsibility
JKR or Parliament Committee
While you all gaduh sama sendiri
Rakyat want an answer immediately
Otherwise kita tak bagi you undi
Sebab you spent money unnecessarily
You know it is taxpayers' money
So please spend the money wisely.

Doctor

A doctor has some urgent matter coming up. He calls his orderly, Kapal, and tells him "Kapal, I have to go off for the afternoon, we don't want to close the clinic, can you take care of our patients?"

“Yes, sir…” answers Kapal.

The doctor returns the next day and asks: “So Kapal, how did it go?”

Kapal tells him he took care of 3 patients. "The first one had a headache so I gave him PANADOL."

"Nice one Kapal, and the second one?" asks the doctor.

"The second one had fever and I gave him PANADOL, sir" says Kapal.

"Bravo Kapal, and what about the third one?" asks the doctor.

"Sir, it was almost 5 pm. I was about to close. Suddenly the door opened and a woman entered like a flame, undressed herself, took off her bra and her panty, laid on the table and shouted:
HELP ME !!!? I have not seen any man for 5 years!!!"

"…? And what did you do, Kapal?" the doctor gets very curious. "Not Panadol, but an injection I believe."

“No sir…" answers Kapal. "I didn't do that, it would not solve the problem. I gave her exactly what she needed!" (scroll down)
